Message So Friday will be the 7th month mark where Jas at JDS motoring has been working on my car. I know lots of people like him and I will get crap for this, but this is my experience and today I decided to pull the plug.

My car over heated last summer on the way back from purchasing my second Z. I did some research online and found JDS motoring and happy customers. I visited his shop and he had 2 Z32's there. I towed the car there and it turns out it needs a new head gasket. He rips it apart in 1 week and we find the head gasket is original bore on a .040" over bored chamber : / . I didn't have the funds to pay the $3,000 Jas wanted at the time and he let me keep the car there. I gave him $4700 to paint the engine bay, to fix the head gasket and for machine work. I told him in the first week of December to fix the car to running and he said fine.

I kept getting promise after promise. It'll be done in 2 weeks ( back in February). I swear on my kids it'll be done by memorial day. Excuse after excuse. I had to threaten towing the car and posting online for him to start working on the car 2 weeks ago. (since December). He had the engine out and according to him got it back together and put it in and it wasn't running correctly. Brought it back to the machine shop and had all these "tests" performed on it. He told me the machine shop told him not to use the bearings he was using (might've re-used my original bearings) and put new bearings in it. He origonally said they were off brand bearings. I than told him how I didn't like how he re-used the bearings and than told me a lie. "They were his bearings(acl), he just had to change them for another acl bearing." He never even knew the block was .040".

Lie after lie and nothing added up. He once told me that "As your car is now it does 1 wheel burnouts" (so I would buy a lsd which I didn't) and "I got JWT to sponsor your car and they're giving you cams for $1100(which is retail), you just need a small sticker. Sponsorships aren't like they used to and you only need small stickers now" "your cars going to be in magazines" "your car is so bullet proof I decided to build a 300" Just telling me stuff so I would give him $24,000 on this engine build which I obviously told him no especially after hearing the 1 wheel burn out thing. This is when I decided to buy another Z and juts fix the head gasket for $4200 (which is a lot).
I gave him all of this money upfront and gave him way too long, just for him to take advantage of me. He keeps telling me how he's sorry for it taking so long and "I just want to make it right". If he wanted to make it right he should've stayed at the shop late hours back in February or earlier. Than I would've been happy giving him $4000. He's admitted to working on other cars even though mine has been there forever. I've seen him post on Facebook telling people to come to his shop and "I'll take care of you" while my car sits..

I spoke to my lawyer before deciding anything and he eventually called Jas (for money of course) and told him if he doesn't give me most of my money back we are going to sue him. He admitted to my lawyer that it took too long and should've been done and it was his fault. Now the cars coming home finally... 7 months wasted, $ wasted, met another unprofessional guy in the Z industry, spending more $ on towing and am probably going to miss this whole summer with both my Z's having the engines out. I am pissed!

I will start a build thread and keep it moving from there. Thanks for any support. Lesson learned, if you want something done right you have to do it yourself.
